How we’re creating bigger impact, and smaller footprints at Damson Madder in 2026.
In 6 years of Damson Madder, we’ve never stopped evolving.
To create pieces that are bold, playful and exciting, we have to keep making bold, innovative steps to improving the challenges that come with our industry.
We believe that transparency is the core of responsibility. So, we’re sharing our roadmap for reducing environmental impact in 2026, to keep you in the loop, whilst we keep you in style.
Here are our top goals:
01 / Staying Net Zero
Our only target that stays the same. We’re committed to keeping our Carbon Footprint Scope 1* at net zero. We manage our direct energy use, keeping our studio and material procurement practices as clean as possible. Edits with small batches that are made slow, and last long.
02 / Better Offsetting
Scope 3** is our biggest impact. Though this isn’t surprising for our industry, we want to level up our Scope 3 reduction and offsetting strategies. We’re taking steps to better understand our supply chain, improving data accuracy and material selection. This will help us invest more in programs that give back, working with our Charity Partner Wen (the Women’s Environmental Network), to amplify meaningful action for real change.
03 / Even Less Synthetics
Only 4% of our products in 2025 used virgin synthetic fibres. Still, this equated to 13% of our material emissions – we want to reduce those emissions right from the source. We’re actively transitioning away from virgin materials and swapping them for recycled fibres. It’ll be the same Damson Madder quality and texture you love, with a much lighter footprint.
04 / Cleaner Chemistry
It’s been a while in the making, but we’re putting a strict timeline on our formal Restricted Substances List (RSL). This will lock in total chemical transparency across our supply chain for mid-2026, minimising hazardous substances all the way from sourcing to processing. We can’t wait to share this with you, with our full-certified fibre collections at the forefront for this year.
